Professors from Columbia Business School and Duke Fuqua School of Business surveyed more than 1,400 North American CEOs and CFOs over 13 months, ending in October 2015:
- More than 90% said that culture was important at their firms.
- 92% said they believed improving their firm’s corporate culture would improve the value of the company.
- More than 50% said corporate culture influences productivity, creativity, profitability, firm value and growth rates.
- Only 15% said their firm’s corporate culture was where it needed to be.
Business as Usual: Companies in this phase (one) are incredibly risk-averse, and the culture of the organization inhibits ideation, experimentation, and inside entrepreneurship (“intra-preneurship”).

Our Culture Peers’ Butterfly
The butterfly is designed to reflect our purpose, the movement, of open and continuous culture transformation. The orange dots on the antennae represent the peers, the champions and experts that help guide your journey. The large blue wings represent your overall profile. They are derived from the symbol for infinity ∞, a source for continuous and infinite transformation. The green and purple wings are the letters “c” and “p” within culture peers. The green represents a real culture (or your current culture), while the purple represents your ideal culture, your aspiration.
